Clearing Levels Faster Comes Down To Reading The Crowd

Punching speed matters far less than most new players think. Four habits below clear levels faster than any combo string does.

Pick off stragglers first

Leaving a lone enemy behind while chasing the group ahead usually means getting hit from behind later. Clearing them as they appear avoids that entirely.

Use grabs to thin a crowd

A well-timed grab can remove one enemy from the fight for a few seconds, giving breathing room against the rest of the group.

Don't stand still after a combo

Finishing a combo and pausing invites a hit from whoever's still standing nearby. Moving immediately after keeps the initiative.

Save special moves for groups, not singles

A screen-clearing special wasted on one enemy is a missed opportunity - holding it for when several enemies cluster gets far more value.
